Making Changes to the Swift Compiler – Mike Ash

Swift is open source, allowing everybody to watch and participate in the work being done on it. You can fix that bug that's been annoying you, or try building that feature you've always wanted. Making changes to Swift for the first time can be daunting. In this talk, I'll walk through the process of making a change to Swift. You'll learn how to obtain and build the source, how it's laid out, how to make and test changes, and how to make a pull request to the official repository.
